Background
Growing up on the north shore of Long Island I was surrounded by salty treasures. If I was not in the water I could be found down at the beach, searching the rocky shores for all sorts of shells and unique finds. No shell was the same, and each had its own unique beauty. I would turn my findings into jewelry or find fun ways to display them, whether it be in jars or on the walls. For me, it was calming and completely mesmerizing!
I went to school at UNCW where I realized I will never outgrow my love for these treasures! I have bins of salty finds just waiting to be displayed! I graduated and moved back to NYC where I pursued my dream of designing sleepwear. Most of my mood boards and designs were inspired by the sea - I suppose that happens when you grow up as a salty kid!
I met my husband while living in NYC (long story that involves a blind date), and here I am now, back in North Carolina with a fantastic family and a rediscovered passion that I am SO excited to share! I love creating custom art using one-of-a-kind finds, and am currently loving mussel shells and their unique yet uniform beauty.
